We are offering a Poetry Prize starting in the Winter 2012 issue, and every Winter after. The entry fee for the prize is $10.00. The winner will be the featured artist on our website and receive a copy of the print issue in which the winning poem appears. The winner will also be nominated for the Pushcart!

OVS Magazine's Anthology Contests for Art and Poetry is now closed. The winner is... Cathleen Cohen! Congratulations to Cathleen! Her poem "Still Life After Chemo" won the anthology competition!
We are publishing an anthology of work that features content from both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 issues and new work from the contest award winners, and others that submit to the anthology competition! The art and poetry winners, respectively, will recieve $50.00 and publication in the anthology. Others who submit, and do not win the grand prize, agree to have their poem(s) or art published in the anthology if selected.
OVS Magazine reserves the right to cancel the contest if there are less than 5 entries per submission type. In other words, at least 5 poem submissions for the poetry contest and 5 art submissions for the art contest. If the contest is canceled all reading fees will be refunded to the submitting parties.

RULES:
Deadline for submissions and reading fees August 15th. 2010.
There is a $10.00 reading fee per submission. If you do not send a reading fee through PayPal, your work will not be considered for the contest.
Once you have sent your reading fee please send up to 5 poems, or 5 black & white peices of art to ovsmag@gmail.com as an attachment with no identifying information in the attachment, and the email address you sent your paypal donation from in the body of the email. No need for a cover letter.
Simultaneous submissions are NOT allowed for the contest!
